David Ivins

David Ivins grew up riding ranch horses and in the last ten years has really begun to appreciate that quality training and attention to detail are essential and crucial when training a horse. He and his buckskin gelding Moonshine, a son of Preston Grover’s late stallion Twister, have won the San Juan Ranch Horse futurity the last three years in a row. David has attended several clinics with Buck Brannaman, Martin Black, Pat Buckett and learned a lot from local horsemen.David’s patience and ability to create mutual respect with the horses he trains culminates in solid all-around ranch horses.

JO JO

JoJo Rabbit is a Frosty bred registered gelding purchased at the sale five years ago

from Black Diamond Ranch. Raised on the ranch and used to push, rope and brand

cows. He has also been the go-to horse for any ranch roping competitions. Easy to

load, stands for shoes and stands when saddled, will ground tie and hold a calf. Always

a strong healthy horse, high energy and is not for beginners – goes all day! He is a fast

& eager learner, impressive all-around horse. Gentle, friendly, greets you at the gate

and easy to catch. Frosty babies are becoming hard to come by, especially ones this

well rounded. Do not miss out – you will regret letting this guy get away!

Jo Jo’s Pedigree

Colorado

Colorado is a 7-year-old grade gelding out of Frosty. Colorado came to us from a friend

who just did not have time for him but had given him training here and there. David has

been riding him for over a year and Colorado may need a few finishing touches to be a

polished and versatile ranch horse. He loads easily, stands for shoes and is easy to

catch. He is always the first horse to greet you at the gate and is very gentle when kids

and dogs are around him and has that curious and fun Frosty personality. Healthy and

easy keeper & our four-year-old granddaughter rides him in the arena and is even able

to back him up easily. He is good for anyone from a cowboy to an older “cow kid”, aren’t

many Frosty bred horses left to get, and you won’t want to let this one get away.
